Chennai,feb.22 : Gold worth Rs 1.5 crore was seized today by directorate of revenue intelligence from two persons who arrived at the international airport here from Dubai, airport officials said.
The DRI officials, acting on a tip off, intercepted Mohammed Rafi and Mohammed Ansari, both hailing from Tiruvananthapuram, who arrived here from Dubai by an Emirates flight early this morning.
A search of their luggage revealed 1.8 kg of gold concealed inside and they were detained, the officials said.
