New Delhi: BJP leader Sadhvi Prachi came out with a fresh does of vitriol at an VHP programme in Badaun.
Defending her four kids comment, Prachi referred to the children of Muslim leaders as puppies, then went on to invite them for ghar wapsi.
“These people who have 35-40 puppies, they are spreading love jihad…I made a statement and it created a nationwide uproar, the media also started saying ‘Sadhviji you have created an uproar with your four kids comment,’ But I tell them, I only asked people to give birth to four kids, not like I asked them to have forty puppies,” she said.
But the spewing of hate did not end there. Sadhvi Prachi went on to call on Azam Khan, Abid Raza, Taufiq Raza and Shahi Imam Bukhari for ghar wapsi, since “centuries back their ancestor was Ram.”
Not even father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi was spared. “I want to ask Mahatma Gandhi, what do we do if someone slaps both our cheeks, where do get a third cheek from? This is why I say we don’t need this (philosophy),” Prachi said.
Her comments have sparked off a fresh controversy, with the BJP also reportedly upset. The party has apparently said that ‘VHP attitudes’ cannot work in the BJP.
Last month, Sadhvi Prachi had echoed Sakshi Maharaj’s call for Hindu couples to have at least four kids so that the ‘Hindu population does not decrease.’ Following widespread criticism and a show cause notice from the party, Sakshi Maharaj had back tracked. But Prachi has so far refused to back down and continuously defended her stand.
