Erode (Tamil Nadu): A 65-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a five-year-old girl at Veerappanchatram village in Erode district, police said.
The minor’s parents had gone out when the man took the girl to his house on Monday and sexually assaulted her.
The parents returned a short while later to find their daughter missing. The father then went next door to the old man’s house, and raised an alarm after finding the man assaulting his daughter, police said.
The accused fled the spot, but was arrested late Monday night.
