New Delhi: BJP leader Subramanian Swamy on Wednesday claimed that a person named ‘Katy’, whose name surfaced during arguments between Shashi Tharoor and Sunanda Pushkar, overheard by couple’s domestic help Narayan Singh, is originally Kathy which is short for Katherine.

Swamy revealed the information today on his official Twitter account.

According to reports, a mystery woman named ‘Katy’ might be questioned by the Delhi Police in Sunanda death case after reports emerged that the person’s name was quite often mentioned during frequent fights between Tharoor and Sunanda.

During interrogation Narayan Singh had told the Delhi Police that the couple had a fight a day before Pushkar was found dead. Reports also say that the domestic help has revealed to the police that he often heard the name ‘Katy’ during Tharoor-Sunanda verbal duels.

Swamy’s revelation comes a day after Tharoor said that the BJP leader should reveal the identity of the ‘killer’ to the police.

Responding to queries from reporters at the Delhi airport, Tharoor said, “If he (Swamy) knows the murderer then let him tell the police.”

Reacting to Tharoor’s charge, Swamy, while speaking to a news channel said, “I never said that I known who the murderer is, I said that Shashi Tharoor knows who the murderer is.”

Alleging that Tharoor was part of the conspiracy to kill Sunanda, Swamy said that if he had known the killer he would have told the police long ago.

The noted lawyer also accused Tharoor of trying to cover up Sunanda’s murder as a natural death.

Swamy was among the first to allege foul play in the death of Sunanda Pushkar. He claimed that Sunanda was silenced as she had wanted to tell the truth about murky dealings in the IPL.

Delhi police has already questioned a friend of Sunanda, who had dropped her to a south Delhi hotel from the airport. The police has said that 12 more people including Tharoor will soon be questioned.

Pushkar was found dead in her south Delhi hotel room Jan 17, 2014 in mysterious circumstances. Police registered a murder case earlier this month based on a final medical report by AIIMS which said she died due to poisoning.

Prior to her death, Sunanda was embroiled in a spat with Pakistan-based journalist, Mehr Tarar, whom she accused of stalking her husband.
