New Delhi: A class VIII boy was stabbed to death in government higher secondary school in Pandhalkudi of Virudhunagar district on Friday morning.
The 13 year old victim, Bhasakaran was brutally stabbed by Mareeswaran, a pass out of the same school, infront of other students in the classroom.
According to police, the accused shoved into the school campus on Friday morning along with a knife and callously attacked the victim who was sitting in his class.
Bhaskaran sustained severe injuries on his forehead, nose and hands while trying to resist the attack.
While Bhaskaran was immediately rushed to the Hospital by the school staff, Manreeswaran managed to escape from the crime scene.
Bhaskaran, who was bleeding copiously, died on his way to hospital.
While police has sent the body for postmortem, the reason behind the brutal murder is still unknown.
The incident has created a rage amongst the victim’s relatives who staged a protest on the main road, blocking vehicular traffic.
The police is further investigating the matter and is also looking for the accused.
