Prominent South Indian actress and former DMK leader, Khusboo Sundar is set to join to Tamil Nadu Congress on Wednesday.

Sundar has quit DMK in June this year. Trouble brewed for Khusbhoo in DMK last year when the actor known for her “no frills” attitude that easily invites controversies rubbed the DMK leadership on the wrong side by subtly ‘questioning’ Stalin’s succession, in a media interview.

Her house was attacked by Stalin loyalists after the interview. After a period of withdrawal from party affairs, the Kollywood damsel again reappeared in style when she flanked Karunanidhi at the party’s state conference in Tiruchy last March.

The 44-year-old actress has worked in more than 100 films and acted with superstars including, Rajinikanth, Kamal Hassan, Mohanlal, Prabhu and Mammootty.

She also hit headlines in 2010 after the Supreme Court cleared her of 22 cases for controversial remarks on pre-martial sex in an interview to a magazine in 2005.
