Seoni (MP): Madhya Pradesh Assembly Deputy Speaker and senior Congress leader Harvansh Singh died in the wee hours of Tuesday following a cardiac arrest. Singh, 65, is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.
The Deputy Speaker, also a former minister, suffered heart attack at his house in ancestral village – Barra in Seoni district. He was eventually rushed to Chapara for medical attention, his family said.
A doctor after examining his condition referred him to Seoni district hospital where all efforts to stabilize him proved futile. Civil Surgeon Satya Narayan Soni later declared him dead, they said.
Harvansh Singh was elected from Keolari Assembly seat.
