MADURAI: As many as 11 country-made bombs were recovered from a garbage bin on the Anna Nagar East Main Road in Madurai in Tamil Nadu on Monday evening.
A woman, who came to dump garbage in the bin at around 4pm, spotted a red colour bag. She opened it and found bombs in it.
On being alerted, the Madurai city police reached the spot and recovered the bombs.
The bombs, which were in oval and cylindrical shapes, were fastened with threads.
A police team lead by deputy commissioner of police Samanth Rohan Rajendra inspected the spot and conducted inquires.
The police said they were clueless about the persons who had dumped the bombs in the bin.
