murder_0_1_0_1_0_0_0Hyderabad: A retired JNTU librarian’s wife was stabbed to death by robbers at Omnagar in Langar House on Wednesday. The robbers fled with 200 grams of gold, one and a half kg silver and some cash. The victim B. Lakshmi Tulasi, 60, was found dead in a pool of blood by her husband in the evening when he returned home.

Police suspects that the robbers got into the house pretending to be electricians. The robbers fled with the booty after the murder without raising any suspicion among the colony’s residents.

The victim’s husband, Mr B. Satyanarayana, who retired from JNTU a few years ago, is working in a private college library. While one of their daughters live in the US, another one lives in Kukatpally. Tulasi was alone at her house when the robbers came in.

Mr Satyanarayana, who returned home at around 5.30 pm found his wife dead. “She was found with her legs and hands tied with two major injuries on her body. The attackers stabbed her on the stomach and chin,” said West Zone DCP Satyanarayana.

Police said the victim died due to heavy loss of blood. The entire room was filled with blood and she was found lying on the floor.

Tulasi had spoken to her daughter at around 12 noon. In the afternoon, some unknown people had come to the colony pretending to be electricians. Police suspect that they must have committed the robbery.

Police suspect that people known to the victim’s family planned the robbery.

“We have booked a case of murder for gain, and have started a probe,” said DCP Satyanarayana. The CLUES team and dog squad visited the spot, and collected evidence.
