Well known Sandalwood Cine Star Ramesh Arvind whose recent Kannada film ‘Chatrigalu Saar Chatrigalu’ released in Bangalore arrived in Dubai International Airport with his son Arjun to take part in the shoot for the first international Tulu movie ‘Nirel’.
Star Ramesh Arvind who is a close friend of Shodhan Prasad, the producer of Nirel was more than happy to be part of the ‘Nirel’ team and was excited to see the enthusiastic crew and caste making the film in weekend holidays. He said that this a newest thing for him to know, how these youngsters make use of their weekend holidays more effectively. Ramesh Arvind a Mechanical Engineer turned actor, have acted in more than 120 films has for his credit acting in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam & Hindi movies. He said, today one more language has come to his credit with his role in ‘Nirel’ Tulu movie and is also happy to say that this is his first film to be shot in Dubai. He met Ranjit Bajpe, Director of ‘Nirel’, San Poojary, Executive Producer, Art Director Rajnish Amin & Production Executive, Sachin Padil and was impressed with this young dynamic team. He completed his two days of shoot in Dubai and returned to Bangalore yesterday. Before leaving he expressed his wish to work with the same team in producing a Kannada movie soon after the release of ‘Nirel’.
A simple man himself, started his career acting with Kannada movie ‘Mouna Geethe’ in 1986 opposite Srinath & Saritha as a support role. Later climbed up the ladder with so many movies in various languages to his credit. He then turned up to directorial role with his creations of ‘Nammanna Don’, ‘Venkata in Sankata’, ‘Accident’, ‘Sathyavan Savithri’ & ‘Rama Shama Bhama’.
He won Best Actor award for his Kannada movies ‘America America’ & ‘Hoomale’ honoured by Karnataka State Film Award. He also bagged ‘Filmfare Best Kannada Actor Award’ for his movies ‘Amrutha Varshini’ which ran across 175 days in the theatres & also for ‘Hoomale’ both in the years 1997 & 1998. Most of his movies have recorded as the best movies running for so many days in theatres loved by his fans across three states. Four more films are awaiting release this year while he is planning for a big megha film in Tamil yet to be announced.
In Dubai he was surprised to see innumerable fans following him wherever he passed by flocking to have photos. His fans were happy to know that he is part of film ‘Nirel’ shooting in Dubai and are eagerly waiting for the release to see his role.

Another celebrity who is doing a very important role is ever shining Ria D’Souza, a Mangalorean beauty in Dubai who has to her credit few upcoming movies in Malayalam, Telugu and even Hindi. A Zee TV anchor and a Model by profession, she is very happy and proud to be associated with this Tulu venture being a person from Tulunadu herself. She had her part shot along with Ramesh and Anoop in the recent shoot which has come out excellent.
An energetic host of Zee Connect which runs on TV every Saturday nights, one might have spotted her with Malayalam Hero Mohanlal in Casanova a Malayalam romantic movie. A while ago she was also heard in City 101.6 FM doing RJ. A simple girl born and brought up in Dubai with roots hailing from Mangalore had always a dream of acting in Movies and has flair for dancing too. Crowned ‘Ms Mangalore Dubai’ in 2009, Ria D’Souza with her passion in Modeling, continues her profession in multi faceted interests, keeping herself busy with interviewing arriving celebrities, however keeping herself fit with daily Yoga and moving towards the Indian Film Industry. She now has to her credit Tulu movie ‘Nirel’, once again a first for her.
Other than Hero Anoop & Heroines Varuna Shetty & Deepthi Salian there are various artists including Deepak Palladka, Anand Salian, Subash Bangera, Rajendra Pai, Jameel Ahmed, Vidya, Sandhya, Nindiya and many more artistes being part of this much talked about movie.
