Residents of Silicon Oasis woke up to a disturbing image of the dead body of a man lying outside their building this morning.
According to the building’s security staff, the man resided on the 15th floor of the Springs Tower, and seemed to have plunged to his death at around 6.30am this morning.
The building has a Choithram supermarket on the ground floor, and has 25 floors. A staff at the supermarket claimed the person lived with his family on the 15th floor of the tower.
Dubai Police had reached the scene and have reportedly cordoned off the area but three hours after it was discovered, the body was still lying outside the building.
The nationality of the man has not been confirmed yet.
“I was shocked when my husband told me about it. The body is still there but it is covered up,” said Lakshmi, a resident of the building.
“It could’ve happened around 6.30-7.30am.”
The incident happened around school time, and many residents were worried if their children were subjected to those images.
A Sri Lankan man, who owns a cleaning service in the area, also confirmed the news.
“Yes, I saw the body. It is really sad. I don’t know what happened or why, but this is just so sad,” he added.
