Families on a shopping spree can start crossing off items on their shopping lists with irresistible Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) sales at 6,000 retail outlets in 70 malls across Dubai.

Fashionistas planning on a new wardrobe will be spoilt for choice with all that designer items on offer during DSF’s 32-days of celebrations.

Hosted by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), this edition’s DSF theme ‘Shop At Your Best’ is translated by every participating malls across the emirate with rewards for every shopper by offering them the chance to win luxury cars by just spending Dh200.

Musical bonanza at Mall of the Emirates

The Mall of the Emirates has come alive with unbeatable prizes and a musical bonanza, packed with an hour-long line up of pop music, upbeat tracks and dance performances. The Bubble Show adds that extra sparkle to the DSF celebrations from 5pm to 9pm daily. The incredible performance feature young street dancers of Nu Sxool, finalists of ‘Britain’s Got Talent Show’ and winners of the World Championship Street Dance. Katy Perry impersonator will grace the stage as a tribute to the popular pop star herself. The mall also has unbeatable discounts, promotions and raffles.

A soap bubble magician performs his special magic tricks on stage, and a squad of vibrant cheerleaders and special entertainment in the form of the amazing One Direction tribute are mesmerising shoppers.

Featuring a live band and a troupe of incredible performers donned in attractive costumes, back-up dancers and more, the show is a crowd puller.

Family time at BurJuman

Popular cartoon shows Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teletubbies and the Circus Canada troupe are entertaining audiences at BurJuman.

While the multi-coloured Teletubbies — Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po — enthralled audiences, both young and old, till Saturday, Ninja Turtle fans have the chance to catch up with their coolest and greenest superheroes in an interactive stage show until January 18. The green-fighting machines namely Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello, impress audience with their skills and humour. Kids can get them all at the mall daily at 6.15pm, 7.45pm and 9.15pm. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are also there for a 10-minute meet and greet session after their power-packed performances.

BurJuman is also home to the spectacular Circus Canada troupe that has come comes to Dubai from a country famed for its modern-day cirque arts. Embracing the style and quality of the renowned Cirque du Soleil, the show will feature the best circus performers in the world. From slapstick performances by costumed clowns, to stunning acts by contortionists, acrobats, jugglers and an amazing ring master, the show will be held at BurJuman from January 24 until February 1, twice daily. Families can also get up close and personal with the international artists during an interactive session after every show.
