Thiya Family UAE joyfully celebrated its 21st Anniversary with dazzling dance competitions, embracing the powerful message: ‘One Caste, One Religion, One God for Humanity’

Dubai: Thiya Samaj Family is UAE’s first overseas community organization of Thiyas founded in the year 2004 under the leadership of late Umesh Nanthoor (Founder President), Bisajakshi M P, Ishwar Ail (Founder Secretary) with the support of Sadashiva Manjeshwar, Yogesh Ullal, Nagesh Suvarna, Jayaprakash Kunjathur and Dharmendra Bangera for the purpose of strengthening the community.This organisation recently marked  their 21st year of dedicated service in society  in New Academy School, Bur Dubai, Dubai.

The celebration  began with a prayer by Manishka Kotian, Brahmi Kotian and Avyukth Shijith followed by the opening and welcome note by Secretary Premjit Narayana. Jasmitha Vivek, President of the Samaj briefed about the activities of the samaj.

Jayanth Shetty, founder member of many organizations  around the UAE, who has closely  worked with late Umesh Nanthoor, graced  as Chief guest and  inaugurated  the 21st anniversary of Thiya Samaj by  lighting the lamp with other dignitaries.Meanwhile  Jagannath Kotian ,one of the senior members of the Samaj was felicitated on behalf of his continuous support and contribution towards the samaj.

Jayanth Shetty was also felicitated on behalf of Thiya Samaj Family for his unconditional dedication towards society without considering the cast and religion.

Further to make this milestone even more memorable Dance Competitions was held which was open to all communities and dance institutions without any registration fee.This initiative is inspired by the teachings of Shree Narayana Guru Swami, promoting unity, harmony, and mutual respect among all to unite communities for greater harmony which was appreciated by other leaders.

KPSD  Krishna Kripa  Team declared as winner of folk dance senior category,  Umadevi Nrithya Kendra as first runner up and  KPSD Hara Mitra was declared as the second runner up .

Tara Tarangini Team was declared as winner of the sub-junior category,followed by  KPSD  Dream Dancers  Kalpa & team who were declared as runner up.

KPSD  Siri Kannada Naatya  Team was declared as winners in the junior category and Budding Stars declared as runner – up.

Noted Choreographer Mrs.Anjali Nagabhushan , Mr UAE fame & noted choreographer Gautham Bangera , Choreographer Mr. Shashank and Choreographer & musician Mr. Rag graced as judges for  the Competitions and judgement was well accepted by all the participated teams.

All the participants were awarded with medals and participation certificates. Trophy was presented to the winning teams.

Most of Community leaders and office bearers of various organizations  supported in making the event a grand success by their presence and assured of their continuous support in future.

 

Founder member Bisajakshi M P, Senior members Sathish Palan, Rajesh Pallikere, Satish Kallapu, Jagannath Kotian, Mahesh Raj , Manohar  Kotian  and Srinivas Kotian, committee members,office bearers and the core committee members’ coordinated efforts made Thiya Family day 2025 and 21st year anniversary of Thiya Samaj Family an event to cherish.

Arathi Adiga, noted master of ceremony compered the  programme systematically. Little MC’s Thanvik Vivekananda and Anshika Shijith very gracefully hosted the Sub-junior & junior category competitions .Amar Umesh Nanthor handled sound and lights. Mallika Manohar, Saritha Srinivas, Shobhitha Premjit and Reethu Anchan cleverly handled the stage , award and felicitation sections.

Jasmitha Vivek, thanked and extended her sincere gratitude to all the community leaders, participant teams, Sponsors, Media, Judges, comm and volunteers who made the event a grand success.
