Car collided with two cars and one truck coming from the opposite side
Five members of an Emirati family died yesterday in a tragic and horrific accident in Oman, ‘Al Bayan’ reports.
The victims have been identified as Ahmed Saad Al Menhali, 60, his sister, Wafa, 48, her daughter Fatima 20, and her son Ali Saleh, 17.
One girl, aged nine but not identified, also died.
The accident took place in Oman and UAE police flew directly, with competent authorities, to the site, to move the bodies of the victims to Al Ain Hospital, and then to Khalifa Hospital in Abu Dhabi.
Muscat Police first informed of the accident involving the five Emiratis, as the vehicle bore Abu Dhabi plate numbers.
The accident occurred as a result of deviation which led to a collision with two cars and one truck coming from the opposite side.
A surviving member of the family here in the UAE told Emarat Al Youm that the family was headed to Salalah for the weekend.
