Various vacancies have opened up with Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa). The utility provider is hiring both local and expat professionals for its various departments. The company is looking for engineers, technicians, managers in its various departments, customer service executives, electrician, foreman, fireman and candidates in various other categories.

Not much reliable data is available on the kind of salaries the company pays. However, according to the website www.simplyhired.com, the average salary for Dewa jobs is $36,000, which is about Dh132,231.“This salary was calculated using the average salary for all jobs with the term ‘DEWA’ anywhere in the job listing,” mentions the job portal.
Dewa also runs scholarship programmes for nationals. “The company is keen to put into implementation, the approach of the state in employing and developing the national working forces. Dewa adopts nationalization plan within its strategic plan, as it currently launches ambitious programmes to train and prepare national human cadres able to takeover work’s burden in various technical fields in this vital significant sector,” says the company.
“From this point, Dewa prepares and executes several orientation, training and educational activities and programs in Dewa utilities and in the various educational and training institutions within the state and abroad,” reads the company statement.
