The very first Cricket Tournament “Tipu Sultan Cricket Cup 2014” organized by Karnataka Muslim Cultural Association (KMCA) played at old Ideal Indian School play ground was lifted by Coorg Charges Cricket Team with a trilling finish
The colorful closing ceremony which was held on 22nd May 2014, Thursday was witnessed by huge enthusiastic crowd with the presence of Indian Arjuna Awardee Athlete Mrs. Ashwini Nachappa who came all the way from India. The function started with verses of Holy Quran by Master Ahmad Shakir followed the Qatar and Indian National Anthem. KMCA which focuses more of Special Needs donated funds to the charity which was handed over by the Guest of Honour Mrs. Ashwini Nachappa to the Special Needs head of KMCA Mr. M. Iqbal Manna. The President of KMCA Mr. Niyaz Ahmed welcomed the gathering. The Chief guest of the finals Mr. Azim Abbas addressed the gathering and appreciated KMCA for organizing an event of Cricket in Qatar which was first of its kind. Mrs. Ashfaq briefed the introduction of Mrs. Ashwini Nachappa was then felicitated by KMCA and later jointly by Karnataka Sangha Qatar, Tulu Koota Qatar, Bunts Qatar, MCC, SKMWA and Qatar Billawas. Mr. Ravi Shetty, President of Bunts Qatar spoke at this occasion.
Addressing the gathering the Arjuna Award winner Mrs. Ashwini Nachappa congratulated KMCA for for a well organized sports event a platform which has brought all community and Karnataka based organization under one platform and thanked KMCA for giving her an opportunity to attend such a remarkable.
The prize distribution was the runners KMCA and Champions Coorg Charges were then distributed by The chief guest Mr. Azim Abbas, Guest of Honour Mrs. Ashwini Nachappa, Presidents of Karnataka based forums and KMCA EXCOM members. Mr. M. Iqbal Manna proposed vote of thanks at the end.
The MC of the event were Mr. Munjunath, Mr. Saquib Raza Khan and Mr. Saeed Assadi. The event was co-ordinated by Mrs. Milan Arun and Mr. Arun Kumar. The commentators Mr. Habibul Nabi and Ijaz entertained the crowd with live updates. Match umpires Dr. Sanjay and Mr. Imthiyaz, Scorers Mr. Amjad and Anand, DJ was played by Mr. Anil and Krish.
The crowd was thrilled to witness the grand procession welcoming the replica of Tipu Sulthan along with the guests in a open motor cate to the playing arena in a unique style.
Earlier in the opening ceremony on 20th May 2014, Tuesday, the blind Athlete from Karnataka Mr. Shaavad was the guest of honor . And Mr. M.I Farid was the chief guest. The President Mr.Niyaz Ahmed welcomed the gathering. Mr. Saquib Raza Khan and Mr. Manjunath were the MC. KMCA and all Karnataka based forums felicitated the athlete while Mr. Ibraz Khan the General Secretary proposed vote of thanks.
Mr. Imran of Coorg Charges won the man of the match award, Mr. Rauf, Best Batsman of the Tournament, Mr. Imran best bowler and Man of the tournament award.

Coorg Charges scored 130 runs loosing 6 wickets in 12 overs while KMCA lost its early wickets and ended up with just 69 runs loosing all wickets in 11.3 overs.
