Mumbai: Ranbir Kapoor thinks that the media is only interested in his affairs and not his movies any longer.

“You guys never ask me about my next film, which is Bombay Velvet by the way. I was shooting for a film in Cape Town. But when it comes to my pictures with Katrina then all of you want to know about that,” he says.

“I always speak up about everything. Those pictures, which went viral, are of when Kats and I were shooting together. I feel my real life has become like a daily soap,” he adds.

Talking about his father Rishi Kapoor, Ranbir says, “My hero is my father. I have grown up watching him. I would be very scared to talk to him when I was a kid. He has been a strict father. However, as I grew up I came to understand that while being strict, he also loved me. Ours is like a mad house. We all yell and talk on the top of our voices. It’s really fun though.”

Coming back to his relationship with Katrina Kaif and about reports that the two would soon move in together, Ranbir says, “The house I live in will be going in for a renovation. I will be staying with my parents once the redevelopment of our bungalow is complete. I’m just shifting for sometime. I will always stay with my parents.”

On live-in relationships, he says, “It is my personal choice. There are so many stories and so many conjectures. About me and Kats, I can only say we are doing a movie together and we are good friends. I am a bachelor and it is my life. With whom I live or whether I live alone, I would not like to disclose it to anyone. But, there is nothing wrong in having a live-in relationship. I believe people of my generation have a clear mind.”

Ranbir adds that he does not have a PR because he does not believe in the game.

“A man’s name is through his work. I don’t feel I should have a PR because it’s become a game. I say something about myself and publish it and someone else tries to go one up on me. It just becomes a nasty game,” he says.
