Mangalore/Kollur, June 6: It has been reported that Sandalwood fame actress Shruti tied her nuptial knot with journalist Chandrachud, on June 6, Thursday at Kollur Shri Mookambika Devi temple at 7.30am.
Shruti and Chandrachud have known to each other since their school days, sources said.
Shruti was born on September 18, was one of the reigning Kannada actresses in 1990s and had a love marriage with director S Mahendra in 1998.
Sources said marriage with S Mahendra lasted only for four years and problems started on various family issues that was only after the delivery of baby girl.
June 6,being her daughter’s birthday, Shruti decided to marry Chandrachud on this auspicious day in front of Goddess Mookambika, at Kollur
