Hyderabad: After her recent exploits at the Wimbledon in London, Sania Mirza has left for Sri Lanka on Friday night to celebrate Eid with husband Shoaib Malik, member of the Pakistan cricket team currently playing the Lankans in a series.
“Eid with Shoaib will be special — a chance that I don’t get too often as am playing on the circuit. Luckily, I have some time off tennis now and am happy about my career currently,” Sania told Deccan Chronicle.
Sania greeted everyone on Eid as well. “I wish peace, prosperity, a lot of love and happiness to the citizens of Hyderabad, Telangana and the country as a whole,” she said.
The tennis ace also plans to catch up some cricketing action in Sri Lanka — the third one-dayer is scheduled to be played in Colombo on Sunday. Shoaib had scored a half-century in the second ODI played on Wednesday.
