ಬಂಟ್ಸ್ ದುಬೈ ಥ್ರೋಬಾಲ್’ನಲ್ಲಿ ಪುರುಷರ – ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಕೊಂಕಣ್ಸ್ -ಬಂಟ್ಸ್ ದುಬೈ ಚಾಂಪಿಯನ್

‘ಬಂಟ್ಸ್ ದುಬೈ’ ಶುಕ್ರವಾರದಂದು ದುಬೈ ಅಲ್ ಕಿಸೆಸ್ಸ್ ಬಿಲ್ವ ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ಸ್ಕೂಲಿನ ಮೈದಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪುರುಷರ ಮತ್ತು ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಥ್ರೋಬಾಲ್ ಪಂದ್ಯಾಟವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿತ್ತು.

ಪುರುಷರ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೋಸ್ಟಲ್ ಫ್ರೆಂಡ್ಸ್ ತಂಡವನ್ನು ಮಣಿಸಿದ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಕೊಂಕಣ್ಸ್ ಚಾಂಪಿಯನ್ ಆದರೆ, ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂಟ್ಸ್ ದುಬೈ ತಂಡವು ಕೆಸಿಒ ಅಬುಧಾಬಿ ಸೋಲಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿಜಯ್ ತಂಡವಾಗಿ ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮಿತು.

The bunts biennial throwball tournament concluded at the Bilva Indian School qusais Dubai – Uae on Friday 8th December with a most exciting and electrifying finale to the Throwball tournaments organized by Bunts Dubai, Bunts Dubai ladies won the Throwball championship beating KCO Abudabhi and Mangalore Konkans men’s won the Throwball championship beating Coastal friends .

The programme start 8.30am with prayer by Vaisnavi Arun Shetty

In the morning the Bunts Throwball Tournament was inaugurated by the sponsors & all team captains by releasing balloons into the air. All the sponsors on the dais, namely Premnath Shetty,Bhagya Premnath Shetty , Harsha Shetty,Jyothika Harsha Shetty, Jerald Roopa Lobo,Devish Alva , Sarvotham Shetty and Sabstain pais were honoured with bouquets.

Satish Shetty welcomed the players, sponsors and the audience. He said this was the 6th throwball tourney by Bunts since the year 2007. The earlier matches were held in 2007, 2009 , 2011 , 2013 , 2015 .

Outstanding throwball players who have played since the beginning, were honoured by Bunts Dubai, namely Shakila Ravi Shetty and Yashoda Santhosh Bhandary. Bunts Dubai player Shashi Raviraj Shetty read the citations(sanmana patra) and were also honoured for their dedication to the tournament all through. They were all honoured with traditional shawls, fruit baskets, moment, bouquets and citations(sanmana patra).

Prior to the matches the players took an oath, led by Sangeetha Shetty Bunts Dubai captain.

The ladies throwball inaugural match was held betweens Coastal Friend Dubai and Bunts Dubai

Ladies throwball teams: Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha, K C O – Abu Dhabi, Bunts Dubai, Mogaveers UAE, Konkans Dubai, , Mangalore Konkans, Dubai, Coastal friends.

Gents throwball teams: Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha, K C O – Abu Dhabi, Bunts Dubai, Mogaveers UAE, Konkans Dubai, , Mangalore Konkans, Dubai, Coastal friends.

After closely contested league matches the following teams made it to the semi-finals:
Ladies: Konkans Dubai , KCO Abu Dhabi , Bunts Dubai and Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha

Men’s: Mangalore Konkans , Bunts Dubai , Coastal Friends and Dubai Konkans

The following teams made to the finals:
Ladies: Bunts Dubai Vs – KCO Abu Dhabi
Men’s: Coastal Friends – Konkans Dubai

Prior to the closing ceremony ,prize distribution and raffle draw conducted by Sri Sarvothama Shetty. All the sponsors were felicitated. Vote of thanks was proposed by Vasu Shetty.

Sumptuous Break Fast & lunch was arranged by Ammba Restaurant
An exhibition match was held to Mix match for all selected players. All the referees, linesmen ,scorer and media representatives were also felicitated.

Men’s throwball: Best smasher – Keith Suaries(Mangalore konkans ), Defender – Wilson (Coastal Friends), All Rounder – Rijo Jose (Mangalore Konkans)

Ladies throwball: Best smasher – Neethu Shetty (Bunts Dubai), Defender – Shoba (KCO) and all Rounder – Shashi Raviraj Shetty (Bunts Dubai)

All the winners of the tournament were called upon the stage and trophies & gift hamper were distributed:
