Uppinangady : The Uppinangady Police have nabbed three persons who were carrying explosive materials worth Rs 60,000 on Tuesday, June 17. Based on a tip off the police apprehended the trio near NH 75 34th Nekkilady
The arrested have been identified as Bashir, resident of Mungilapadavu, Abdul Rehaman and Santosh Kumar, resident of Kanathil. Abdul Rehaman has been taken for further questioning.
Seven boxes containing the explosive materials and the Omni car was seized by the Police.
The arrest was made under the directions of H.D.Mendonca, DySP by K.R.Shivakumar, sub inspector, Dayanand, Chikappa Rai, Shivaprasad and Manohar.
A case has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station.
