Mangalore, March 28: A total of 35,011 students from Dakshina Kannada district are appearing for the SSLC exams commenced on March 28, Friday and will be held up to April 19.
Out of total number of students, 18559 are boys and 16452 girls appearing the exams in 101 examination centres and five centers for private students appearing for the exams.
Reportedly, Medical teams along with physicians have been stationed at examination centres for medical assistance of students.
A Devaprakash, Director of Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board said that the board have taken all security measures for the smooth conduct of this examination and an area of 200 metres radius around each of the examination centres have been declared as prohibited.
The board has also ordered the Xerox centres functioning around the examination centres to remain close during the exams.
Two police personnel have also been deployed at each examination centre.
