Mangalore, Dec 19: The Congress party leaders and activists have alleged that over fifty Rahul Gandhi banners put between Maravoor and Karkala have been damaged. They also claim that it is the work of anti-social elements to insult the Congress party and its leaders.
They claimed that party has said that they had displayed more than 100 banners, showing party national vice-president Rahul Gandhi, from Maravoor to Karkala, out of which over fifty were found to be destroyed.
The party will be holding a rally from Mijar Bolechar to Kaikamba on December 22, against the act. Former union minister and national leader of Congress party, B Janardhana Poojary will flag off the rally. A vehicle rally will proceed till Bajpe police station to submit a memorandum in this regard.
