Kundapur; Oct 02: An incident of raid on illegal transportation of buffalos and cows vehicle by Kundapur police along with members of various Hindu organizations has been reported on Oct 01, Tuesday late night near Kandavar dumping yard.
In the raid, police have seized the vehicle carrying 25 cattles in it along with the arrest of one accused and rest of the accused have been reportedly run-away.
Details of the incident: It was on Oct 01, Tuesdy late night, based on the confirmed tip off, Bajaranga Dal activist, Kundapur unit along with Kundapur police raided the spot, where cattles were being bundled off in- humanly into the vehicle and arrested one local accused Shankara Poojary along with 25 cattles and the vehicle used for the transportation.
A case in this regard has been registered in Kundapur police station on Oct 02, Wednesday morning and the accused has been produced in the court.
The members of the Hindu organizations have come forward to shift the seized cattles to Hoovinakere cow protection centre under the supervision of police personnel.
