Mangalore, August 28: To build religious consciousness in the children, state level children’s fest and Shree Krishna disguised contest held at Kadri Shree Manjunatha temple.
After inaugurating the programme Kateel priest Laxmi Narayana Aasranna said that this programme must be a special one and Krishna disguised contest started first in the Mangalore, but now it’s spreading around the world. By giving the knowledge about religious concept, everyone must get the Krishna’s blessing. To inculcate the ideals of Krishna in the children, these kinds of programmes are necessary, he said.
Temple administration head M.J Shetty said that there are 2000 children participated in the competition. These kind programmes shows the child hood days of Krishna and these programmes must continue, he wished.
Kalkura Prathishtana founder Pradeep Kumar Kalkura said that Janmashtami will be celebrated in each day as different manner. This competition creates positive thinking and participation of both children and parents is the special attraction of the event he said.
There was 2000 participants in the competition and 18 types of competitions such as Kanda Krishna, Muddu Krishna,Thunta Krishna, Bala Krishna, Kishora Krishna, shree Krishna, geetha Krishna, yaksha Krishna, Radha Krishna, Yashoda Krishna, shnakanada, shnaka Udgosha, devaki Krishna, vasudeva Krishna, nandagokula, Balakrishna Rasa prashne, shree Krishna rasa prashne etc.
Darmadarshi Harikrisha Punarooru, Banta Sangha president Ajith KumarMaladi, M.B Puranik, former Mayor Shashidara Hegde, Local corporate Ashok D.K, Krishna Committee president Dinesh D. Devadiga,Haridasa Vaadeesha acharya, prakash Joshi, Prabhakar, harinatha jogi, Krishna Bhat, shree pathi, temple administration officer Ningayya, Jayalaxmi alwa and others were present.
