Mangaluru, October 13: The Navaratri Pooja began at Shree Mangaladevi Temple, here on October 13th.
The rituals were performed by Sri Gurudevananda Swamiji of Odiyoor Math as a symbol of commencement of the Navaratri celebrations.
Speaking on this occasion, Swamiji said, the message of Dasara is protecting the good and destroying the evil. The job of managing trustee is to become a bridge between the devotees and the priest, and P Ramanath Hegde is doing it very well.
The Navaratri festival will be celebrated in the temple till October 24th.
Managing trustee P Ramanath Hegde, trustees B Rama Naik, Premalatha S, hereditary trustees M Ganesh, Raghurama Upadhyaya, B Venkatramana Aithal, were present among others.
