Mangaluru, July 22: This year about 771 Haj Pilgrims will leave from Mangaluru International Airport, informed Hejaz Ahmed, Personal Secretary of Haj and Information Department Minister.
He spoke after inaugurating the vaccination program for Haj Pilgrims organized at Yenepoya hospital in Kodialbail here On Wednesday, July 22nd. From Karnataka 3050 reserved pilgrims and 2050 pilgrims selected through lottery will leave for Haj. The pilgrims from Karnataka will leave for Haj from Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Goa and Hyderabad Airports, he said.
Over 70 Haj pilgrims from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts got vaccinated, said the president of Haj Management Association Yenapoya Mohammed Kunhi.
The Haj pilgrims from Mangaluru, Udupi, Chickamagalur, Hassan and Kodagu district will board the flight at the Mangaluru International Airport. This year, the passengers will travel by the NASA Airways flight –a branch of Saudi Airlines, informed Hejaz Ahmed.
On this occasion, CEO of Karnataka Haj association Surfaraz Khan, District Vakf suggestion committee president S M Rasheed, Haj Management committee president Yenapoya Mohammed Kunhi and others were present.
