Mangaluru, July 8: Alleging that the Health Department has failed to control the spread of communicable diseases, the DK district DyFI union staged protest as well as mock show near the District Health Office here.
Addressing the protesters, District president Dayanand Shetty, alleged that the Health Department has failed to control the spread of Dengue, Malaria and other communicable diseases. Many people have been infected with the communicable diseases in Belthangady, Puttur and Bantwal areas of Dakshina Kannada district. He also urged the Health Department and State Health Minister to take a serious note on the communicable diseases which are being spread across the district.
Vice president of the association B K Imthiyaz said, during the ongoing sessions discussions had to take place on the matter of communicable diseases which are fast spreading across the district. It is sad that such serious matter was not discussed, he said.
Secretary of the association Santhosh Bajal, Treasurer Jeevan Raj Kuttar, Rafeek Harekala, Naveen Konchadi, Ajmal Ahmed, N B Nushad Bengre, Sunil Thevula, SFI district president Nithin Kuttar and others were present.
