Ullal, July 6: A bike rider expired on spot after a KSRTC bus collided to his bike on the National Highway-66 at Kolya near Talapady on the night of Sunday, July 5th.
The deceased is identified as Shivaprasad Nayak (44), resident of Kolya.
The accident took place while a KSRTC bus moving towards Kerala collided to the bike of Shivaprasad, who was on his way to Mangaluru. As a result Shivaprasad came under the vehicle and expired on spot.
Shivaprasad was employed at Mangalore City Corporation.
Ullal police visited the spot and registered a case.
The tense environment had prevailed in the accident spot for some time. The locals expressed fury over the fact that the buses plying between Mangaluru and Kerala move at a high speed due to which many accidents have occurred claiming the life of many.
