Mangaluru, March 21: The Mangaluru International Airport will be open 24/7 with effect from May 1st– 2015.
Since November 1st -2014, the airport was closed for night operations. The night operations at the airport had been cancelled as construction of the second parallel taxiway for aircraft landing at the airport to move towards terminal building was going on. Operation of flights from 11 pm to 7.30 am had been barred to facilitate taxiway construction.
The airport authorities said that by the end of April, the work on the taxiway will get over and the airport will begin its 24×7 operations from May 1st -2015.
