Mangaluru, January 6: Drivers working for Mumbai-bound buses along with CITU protested in front of Canara Pinto Travels office on Tuesday, January 6th damning the alleged assault on a driver by a bus owner.
The bus drivers had suspended their work after one of the drivers was assaulted. The drivers resumed their duty only after a talk was convened between them and the owners. But the drivers alleged that the promises were not kept by the owners. The protestors demanded justice to the driver who was assaulted and also review their allowances.
The protestors warned of intensifying their protest if the Mumbai-bound bus owners fail to fulfil their demands.
Considerable number of drivers had participated in the protest.
