Mangalore, October 9: Recently a huge conference on matrimonial bonding was organized by Karnataka State Devadiga Association (Reg) at Devadiga Samaj bahvan hall in Gandhinagar at Mannagudda.
The President of Devadiga Sangha in Mumbai Mr. Vasu Devadiga was invited as the Chief Guest of the inauguration ceremony. Addressing the gathering he said, if the association Social programmes which benefit the mass, the members of the community will be in touch with the association and develop internal relationship which makes a strong association, he said.
Director of SDM College Dr. K. Devraj who was another chief guest said, if such conferences are organised by those form the community who are employed abroad, traditionally it develops into a platform which socially binds the community.
The co-secretary of Mumbai Devadiga association-Mr Ganesh Sherigar said, the youth should think in a scientific manner and must not follow the blind beliefs; and must tie the knots with humanity.
The former presidents of the Women’s Division of the Mumbai Devadiga Association -Mrs. Prafulla V. said, if such as conferences are organized; the Women’s Association participates actively.
The guest on the dais, Mr. Prakash -the owner of Avinash Mosaic Industries presented his greetings to the program.
The conference was presided over by Mr. Vaman Maroli, President of the Association. He said association, is constantly organising programs which are beneficial for the society; taking place in collaboration with the aid of the people of the community. Over 300 names have registered for matrimonial explorations.
Mrs. Veni Maroli performed the prayers. Subhashchandra kanvathirtha welcomed the guests and spoke occasionally . The president of women’s wing, Mrs. Geeta Kalyanpur presented the vote of thanks. The program was compeered by Shrinivas.
In this ceremony; the Vice President of the Association Mr Ratnakar Bajjodi, General Secretary Mr. M. Devdas, treasurer Mr Suresh Nitilapura and secretary of the organization- Yashwanth Devadiga Kadri and president of youth organization M. H Prashant were Present.
