Mumbai : The 13th Annual General Meeting followed by open session of Jayashreekrishna Parisara Premi Samiti held under the presidentship of Harishkumar M. Shetty, president of the Samiti on 5th September, 2014 at Hotel Silver Inn Marol, Andheri East, Mumbai.
Padmabhushana Dr. B. M. Hegde (Former Vice Chancellor- Mahe) inaugurated the meeting after lighting the lamp in the presence of presidents and leaders of various community organizations in Mumbai.
Vice President of JSKPPS Nithyananda D. Kotian welcomed the members present in the meeting. G. T. Acharya presented the report of last AGM and Hon. Treasurer CA I.R. Shetty presented the accounts for the financial year and the same was approved by the members.
Addressing the members and the presidents and other dignitaries of various community organizations present founder of the Samiti Jayakrishna A. Shetty recollected the supports and guidance of Late Dr. V. S. Acharya, K. K. Pai, George Fernandes, Dr. B. M. Hegde and other prominent personalities for the growth and achievements of JSKPPS in the past 14 years. Giving examples of some of the major problems solved through the Samiti he said during the celebration of 15th year of the JSKPPS will have panchayatwise committee in both Udupi and DK districts and in this way the samiti will work hard and fight to solve the problems facing even in the villages.
President Harishkumar Shetty appreciated the supports of members and the well wishers due to which the samiti is moving towards further progress and briefed about the recent Goa visit and the meeting had with Tourism ministers.
In their speech some of the members including Shashidhar Kapu, Hiriyadka Mohandas, Jagadish Adhikari, Dr. Ratnakar Shetty, Felex D’souza, Vivek Shetty, M.D. Shetty gave useful suggestions.
Ex-presidents of the samiti Adv. Subhash Shetty, Dhananjay Shetty felicitated during the open session. Vice President Balakrishna P. Bhandary, L.V. Amin, Jagannath Ganiga, Suresh Shetty Yeyyady, Tulsidas Amin, Chandrashekar B., Muniraj Jain, Santosh Rai Bellipady, Dr. R. K. Shetty, Surendra Saliyan, K M Kotian, Ramchandra Ganiga, Jayanth K Shetty, P. Dhananjay Shetty, Surendra Bhandary and other office bearers of the Samiti were present.
After inaugurating the official website of JSKPPS Dr. B. M. Hegde said JSKPPS is not only the future of our twin districts but even future of our country. Let us implement Jayakrishna’s latest idea of forming panchayatwise committee. He also highlighted some of the problems our people are facing in the districts including pollution in Nandikoor and the higher charges of Taxi fare in Mangalore Airport. G. T. Acharya offered vote of thanks.
