Mumbai University’s paper of Marketing and Human Resources Management (MHRM) for T.Y.Bcom students got leaked on mobile networking app Whatsapp on Friday morning.

University authorities got a call in the morning alerting them to students circulating the leaked paper via the app. The University officials immediately called all the 223 exam centers where the exams were being conducted and sent them a new question paper electonically.

University of Mumbai Pro Vice Chancellor, Naresh Chandra, confirming the information, said, “The University received a call at 10.17 am that the question paper of TYBcom semester VI, MHRM paper was being circulated on Whatsapp. When we checked, it was same paper. So we called all the centers and told them that we are sending you another paper with the help of the internet facility that we have started in the near past.”

The University has registered a case with the cyber cell of the Bandra-Kurla Complex police station.

This is the second time that the MHRM paper has been leaked. It was earlier leaked in 2012. The University’s Board of Examinations had had to eventually hold a re-exam. Luckily for the students they were inconvenienced this time around and the leak was caught in time and a crisis averted.
