New Delhi,jan.,13 : Police have arrested two colleagues of the 33-year-old woman who was found gang-raped and brutally murdered in a Vasant Kunj nursery on Saturday. One of the arrested also worked as a gardener at the nursery. Sources said three other factory workers are also suspected to be involved in the crime.
For the second consecutive day, no senior police officer was available to comment on the crime. Even Delhi Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat did not respond to repeated calls. DCP Prem Nath also refused to pick up phone calls from TOI.
The autopsy report has confirmed that the woman was assaulted, brutally raped and a piece of wood inserted into her private parts before being murdered. The woman had left the factory around 9pm after being asked by one of her colleagues, who was also a gardener at the nursery, to accompany him for a meeting. Three other workers, including the head tailor, accompanied them in an autorickshaw.
On the way they stopped their vehicle at the desolate nursery and asked her to follow them. After walking a little distance, one of the men gagged her mouth and pulled her into the bushes.
Police said a search is on for the others. A case of gang -rape under Section 376G and murder under Section 302 IPC has been registered.
