Tumkur: “With a vow to become the rightful daughter-in-law of Railway Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda and Daati, I and my family members performed a puja at Mahakala Sarpa Yagna in Ghati Subramanya,” said Mythriya Gowda here on Sunday.
The actress, who has filed a rape and cheating case against Mr Karthik Gowda, son of Mr Sadananda Gowda, after he got engaged to another woman, performed the puja to resolve all her problems.
Ms Mythriya Gowda said that Mr Karthik Gowda got married to her earlier and she wanted justice. “I don’t want to say anything, except that I pray to god that Mr Sadananda Gowda and Ms Dati accept me as their rightful daughter-in-law,” she said.
The yagna is said to help those facing marital problems and childless couples. Around 10,000 devotees from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka participated in the yagna, which was organised by the Shirdi Saibaba Biksha Kendra by Lakshmi Srinivasa Guruji.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said in Bagepalli in Chikaballapur district that the government will not intervene in the case involving Ms Mythriya Gowda and Mr Karthik Gowda. “Everybody is equal before the law and law will take its own course,” he said.
