Bangalore: Former prime minister H D Deve Gowda said here on Sunday that he would remain in active politics till his party came back to power in the State.
He reiterated that he has no interest in contesting the Lok Sabha elections next time.
Gowda, who managed to retain the Hassan Lok Sabha seat, said the last Lok Sabha had a handful of his party MPs and the trend is continuing this time too. He said he would continue to make efforts to raise crucial issues pertaining to the State on the floor of the House.
Gowda, who stepped into 82nd year on Sunday, had been to Tirumala to offer prayers.
