Sedam: Six people were killed in a collision between two cars at Gopanapalli near Mudhol on the Ribbonpalli-Waghdari State highway-10 on Sunday evening.
Five of the deceased (Mehmood Khan, 55, Fazal, 20 and Rehan, 5, Meher Jaan, 45, and Ayesha Begum, 48) – all residents of Vikarabad in Andhra Pradesh – were travelling in the Indica car.
While the first three died on the spot, the others breathed their last in the hospital.
Driver dies on the spotIyyoli, 25, the driver of the Innova car hailing from Maragola in Chittapur taluk, died on the spot.
The other three passengers in the Innova car have been admitted to the hospital and are said to be out of danger.
While the passengers in the Innova car were on their way to Sedam from Hyderabad, those in the Indica car were returning home after attending a wedding at Kadatala village near Mudhol.
Superintendent of Police Amit Singh and other senior police officials visited the spot of the accident.
