4bbmpThe widening of Goods Shed Road, near the Bangalore City railway station, has been taken up by Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP). This is expected to ease the bottleneck at the junction and ease vehicular movement.

The BBMP had recently acquired 20 ft along 200 metres on the left side of the road belonging to the City Centaur Hotel. The hotel owner will be given TDR in exchange for the land.

The road widening was overseen by Mayor B.S. Sathyanarayana, BBMP Commissioner M. Lakshminarayana, chairperson of Standing Committee for Major Works B. Somashekar, Chamarajpete councillor B.V. Ganesh and Subhashnagar councillor T. Mallesh.
