BANGALORE: After portfolio tussle, energy minister D K Shiva Kumar’s next priority was to find a good room in Vidhana Soudha that was vaastu compliant. Till late on Friday evening, Shiva Kumar was still scouting for a vaastu complaint room after social welfare minister H Anjaneya refused to give his room on the same floor.
It was a minor drama that unfolded in the Vidhana Soudha corridors on Friday morning, when learning that Shiva Kumar had zeroed in on room number 341 facing east as being vaastu compliant, Anjaneya rushed to occupy it. The former had gone around Vidhana Soudha with vaastu experts on Thursday evening for a suitable room after getting the portfolio.
Not finding any room in Vidhana Soudha and Vikasa Soudha, he asked DPAR officials to allot him room number 341. Anjaneya was earlier in room number 336 and as it was small for his personal staff occupying 336(A) and him had asked the department of personnel and administrative reforms (DPAR) for a bigger one. On December 17, he was allotted room number 341, which needed to be renovated.
DPAR officials had some embarassimg moments trying to pacify both ministers. Anjaneya finally got room number 341.
