The City’s garbage woes seem to be unending. The latest public place presenting a sorry picture of garbage mound lying uncleared is the rear entrance of Vikasa Soudha gate abetting the stately Vidhana Soudha.
Left over food, disposable plates, glasses, sanitary waste, broken ceramic items, all lie piled up and the stench unbearable. When queried Mayor B S Sathyanarayana expressed surprise promising to have it cleared latest by Wednesday,” he said.
Pallavi, a college student wondered: “When garbage can be cleared in a day’s time at prominent places, can not the same be done in places like Commercial street and Shivajinagar too?”
