Bangalore, Oct 22: Jnanpith awardee U R Ananthamurthy on Monday suggested Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to have a dedicated personal e-mail account to receive complaints and grievances from the public.
He was speaking after launching a book, ‘Discussion on 2013-14 State budget’, a compilation of analytical essays on the budget presented in July this year, Ananthamurthy said that the State government should make use of cyberspace to reach out to people.
“There are complaints in some quarters that you are inaccessible. You can make public an e-mail ID to which people can forward their suggestions and grievances,” he suggested.

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi had an army of officials working for him, he said, highlighting his model of growth through cyberspace.
The litterateur said when he had criticised Modi recently, Modi team had ensured that it got the maximum publicity on cyberspace.
He appreciated the budget presented by Siddaramaiah stating that it was a common man’s budget, but media had branded it ‘Ahinda budget’.
Another litterateur K Maralusiddappa said the government should reserve 50 per cent of priests’ posts in muzrai temples for women, and also open ‘Ambedkar canteens’ to be run exclusively by members of the Scheduled Castes /Scheduled Tribes.
