Mangalore, September 6: During the early hours on Saturday September 6th, a man was knocked down to death on the spot when the two-wheeler he was riding was hit from behind by a truck bearing a Maharashtra registration.
The victim is identified as Jayaprakash (54), a resident of Madooru a real estate broker by profession.
Jayaprakash had left home in the morning to drop his daughter to school in Thokkottu. After dropping her at school, he had purchased fish and other items from Thokkottu and was on his way back to home on his Activa. A truck moving on National Highway-66 knocked him down from behind. Jayaprakash died on the spot.
Ullal cops have visited the spot and investigations are on. A case has been registered.
