Mangalore, September 2: On behalf of the Dakshina Kannada Journalist committee, a mourning meet was organised after the sad demise of the Senior Journalist N.R. Ubhayaat the press club Mangalore.
Senior journalist Chidambara Baikampady lighted the lamp, followed by showering flowers on the photograph of Late M.R.Ubhaya and said, ”In those days Mr Ubhaya was very keen in highlighting the breaking news. He was well versed in following up the matter after reporting the news. He was a journalist caring towards the people”. He remembered the days spent with Mr Udaya and said that he was like a dictionary of Journalism and his identity was renowned among the public.
The ex-president of Kannada Sahitya Parishat said Mr Udaya was a jovial person and had a great belief on god.
On this occasion, Dakshina Kannada districts Journalist association’s president P.B.Harish Rai, secretary Srinivasa Indaje, president of press club Ramakrishna, secretary Kiran Sisirkar, senior journalist Keshav Kundar Vinayak A.J were present.
