Mangalore, August 30: Senior Journalist N.R.Ubhaya (Narayana Raghuveera Ubhaya) has moved to Eternal Rest in a private hospital here on Friday late night. He was approximately 75 years old.

He is a resident of Kotekar and has worked for Navabharata, Samyuktha Karnataka, Kannadavani News journals. Later for about a decade he was running his own news journal “Janraj”. He was working as a news correspondent of Mangalore for UNI News Association .For more than two decades; he was working as a reporter from Mangalore for Indian Express News Journal and got retired from service during the year 2002.

He was a strong believer of god and had donated his own land for the construction of Aiyyappa Gudi and was working as a managing trustee of the Gudi’s administrative council. He was a disciple of the Deities at Kollur, Hattiangadi, Kateel, Sharavu Ganapathy and used to pay frequent visits to these sacred temples and perform various offerings there.

For more than two decades he continuously visited Shabri Male Aiyyappa Temple. He has worked as a secretary of Dakshina Kannada Working Journalists Association. He was also an EX-Senete member of Mangalore University. Mr Ubhaya even worked as counselling member of Dakshina Kannada District Telecom Board Mangalore.
