Mangalore, August 12, 2014: On August 12th, Tuesday ‘Aatidonji Dina’ programme was organised at the Chavadi of the Guttu House at Pilikula. It was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner AB Ibrahim.
Speaking at the function, the DC said that such programs help in educating the present generation about the customs, traditions and culture of Aati month in Tulunad which had a special significance considering special sports events which are played and unique seasonal food prepared during this month.
An exhibition was organizOn this occasion, Veteran writer Erya Lakshminarayana Alva, noted scholar Dr. BA Viveka Rai, Pilikula Nisargadhama officer Dr KV Rao, progressive farmer Dr. D.C. Chowta, Taluk Women’s Federation President Vijayalakshmi Shetty and others had gathered.
