Mangalore, August 08: With a vision to root out poverty, the Mangalore City Corporation has launched various facilities at the rate of 7.25% of its funds.
The Mayor Mr Marla; distributing the facility said, the facilities will be distributed today to the listed candidates. The poor people belonging to the down trodden class, who come under Mangalore City Corporation will be availed with these benefits. It would be increased to a greater extent, he added.
With regard to the dearness allowance, 10 individuals were given a sum of Rs6000 each , various beneficiaries were granted a sum of Rs1.26 lakhs towards their medical expenses, to buy books for a Lawyer a sum of Rs 25,000, a sum of Rs 15,000 as scholarship for a medical student and a sum of Rs 5,000 towards the LPG expenses of the physically challenged were distributed.
