Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy, Mangalore in association with Delhi Tulu Siri has organized a three-day workshop on Tulu Theatre in New Delhi from July 26, 2014.
Mr. Suresh Shetty, Dean, National School of Drama, New Delhi inaugurated the programme. He welcomed the initiative of Tulu Sahitya Academy in conducting theatre workshop in New Delhi for theatre enthusiasts in Tulu language residing in the city.
Theatre workshops needs to be expanded beyond theatre schools by experts in the field to encourage growth of theatre in the country said Mr. Shetty. Various aspects of theatre through practical demonstrations discussed during the workshop.
About 25 theatre enthusiasts from New Delhi and surrounding area participated in the three-day workshop. Member of Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy Mr. Vasanth Shetty Bellare, President of Delhi Tulu Siri Dr.Y. Avanindranath Rao, noted scholar Dr. Purushothama Bilimale and Former Ranji Cricketer Mr. M. Shivarama Rai were among the dignitaries present on the occasion.
