CID begins probe into the Medical student Rohit Radhakrishnan’s death case

Mangalore, July 24: Officers of the state criminal investigation department (CID) have been entrusted with the investigation relating to the death of city medical student, Rohit Radhakrishnan, the team began their probe on Wednesday July 23. Rohit’s beheaded body was found about 300 metres away from Indian Oil Company’s unit at Tannir Bavi on Beach Road here on March 23.

Rohit was a seventh semester student of a private medical college in the city. His father, Radhakrishnan based in Kerala, a lalwyer by profession, during his visit here, had expressed doubts about the accident theory. He had thereafter, complained to the state home minister, seeking investigation to find out causes of his son’s death. Panambur police thereafter went to Kerala to obtain written complaint from him. The case was later modified, duly treating the cause of death as murder. The government thereafter handed over this case to the CID.

Deputy Superintendent of police of CID, Narayanaswamy, visited Panambur police station on Wednesday July 23 and began investigation.
