Mangalore : The Pandeshwar fire station has one more addition to its fire engines and this time it’s an Aerial Ladder Platform ( ALP).
The ALP is the most common fire engine seen abroad. The ALP also has a set of ladders alongside the main boom that can be used for access or escape in the case of boom failure while at height.
Officials speaking about the introduction of this vehicle said “The fire station faced problems earlier, in case of fire emergencies in high rise buildings. This ALP can reach almost 175 ft height and will serve the purpose”. The ALP was earlier at Banashankari Fire station.
